Porin - Croatian music awards 2007.

Croatian Music Association, Croatian Music Union, Croatian Composer Society and Croatian Radio Television in the year 1994. have established Croatian Music Award "Porin", named after the main character of opera "Porin" from Vatroslav Lisinski. The award is awarded to the best croatian music achievements in all music areas.

This year town Makarska is a host to Music award "Porin". This is fourth time that this prestigious event takes place in Makarska. Event will take place 22.April 2007. in a pavilion on a town's sport's stadium.

Musicians with most nominations are Gibonni (nominated in 10 cathegories), Oliver and Massimo (8 nominations) and biggest surprise is a young musician from Rijeka Tina Vukov for best vocal.

Great news comes from organizers of Porin. They anounce that there will be big video wall on main town square - Kačić square and all the citizens of Makarska and their guests will be able to monitor whole event that takes place under the pavillion. Whole week will be filled with concerts and presentations of new albums so all the visitors and guests will have great fun during their stay in Makarska while Porin takes place. Makarska and their citizens invite everyone to experience this music event in town under mountain Biokovo and to spend a great vacation during this spring week with fun on every corner.

During Porin week there will be few concerts, on Kačić square you will be entertained by Cubismo - cuban rithms, Dado topić - rock balades - this year's croatian representative for the Eurovision song contest.

All visitors who decide for a longer stay in Makarska during music awards event there will be open Makarska hotels and there is also a big offer of private accommodation .
